Red Wolf: Lydia, Gina, and a Bit of the Past... [Episode 40173]

by Red Priest of the 17th Order

As Lydia continued to scitter across the floor, she couldn't help but wonder what was really so dangerous about this place. Besides the entrance that Gina turned into a death trap and that room filled with all those bones and a bit of junk, the place seemed rather peaceful. Quiet. Something she really did not expect. "But where the @#$& is everyone?" Lydia couldn't help but think.

However, Lydia's ear perked up as she head a familiar sound. The cry of 'jinkies'. Following the noise, Lydia took off for that direction. Knowing Gina, she either found the treasure, something interesting, or was in DEEP trouble.

"Of course," Lydia thought, "If Gina IS in trouble, I'm high-tailing it the $@#& away... But if there is treasure..." Lydia smiled a little mousey smile. "Money, money, money!"

Lydia, still in rat form peeked into a room. Blinking her eyes, she was surprised to find the room was metal from floor to ceiling, with what looked like a technological peestal with a floating crystal globe hovering above it. She let out a small squeaky sigh of relief, seeing that Gina was okay.

Leaned over the metallic ring/pedestal, Gina ouldn't help but be fascinated. "Jinkies! I just can't seem to figure this thing out! And I thought I could handle ANY device easilly!"

Lydia decided since there was no problem, she could switch back. Changing to hybrid form for just incase, she spoke, "Hey, Gina!"

Gina practically jumped in shock. Turning to see what happened, and seeing Lydia, she calmed down considerably. "Darn it, Lydia, don't do that. You probably gave me a couple of gray hairs..."

Shrugging her shoulders, Lydia said, "Sorry..." Looking over Gina's shoulder, she asked, "What did you find?"

Shaking ehr head, Gina said, "I've no clue. I guess there's still a whole lot I don't know which I thought I knew... Still don't even don't know that much about how dad found Cheetah and adopted her."

Lydia sighed. "So? What does your sister have to do with tech?"

Sighing, Gina answered, "Nothing really... But I'm just saying... If I don't really know my own sister, how much can I really know about anything else?"

Lydia shook her head. Seeing Gina study some bits that looked like buttons. "Oh, #@$% no... Gina don't you dare..."

Smiling mischievously, Gina said, "Aw, to heck with it! It's trial and error time! Even if I still don't discover a thing, I still release this horrible urge to mash buttons!"

"NOOOOOOOO!!!" Lydia yelled as Gina pressed a button. The whole room lost all light and they were in pitch black darkness. "#@$@%#&$@#&#%@$*#*^#%&$$@^#@ DIGGERS!!!"

Then, an almost eerie, yet mechanical voice shot out through the darkness. What was eespecially eerie was that it sounded A LOT like Gina's own voice "ACCK... Accessing U.A.F. 89F, 1231, DB99, 0DD7... Hexadecimal Time-Space Coordinates."

"Gina..." Lydia's voice called out from the darkness. "WHAT THE $@#& IS GOING ON!?"

"I have no clue!" Gina's voice called out.

It was then that the floating globe lit up, illuminating the room as it began showing an image. A wounded female werecheetah. "Wait Is that Cheetah? ... No... She's older... And not as muscular... What's happening?"

Lydia and Gina watched a clash. A male werewolf attacked the female werecheetah, as she stood before a crib, with a wailing babe in it, trying to protect the child. But she failed and the wolf killed her...

The wolf looked over the wailing infant, however, he did nothing. He seemed to notice, or hear something. Looking outside the home that he had broken into to fight the werecheetah, the werewolf saw the image of a man getting close. He high-taileed it out of there. It was then that the man entered the area and found the child.

The machine then shut off, but not before Gina got a good look at the man. Lydia was also shell shocked, having recognized him. "Gina... Was that who I @#$%in' think it was?"

Nodding her head, Gina said, "That was dad... Only younger... That baby in the crib... It must have been Britanny! That whole scene must have been what happened when Britanny was orphaned during the war between her clan and the clan of werewolves. But how did this device show it to me? And who was that werewolf that killed Cheetah's mother?" Gian sighed. "I solve one mystery and wind up getting even more to deal with..."

Lydia cleared her throat. "Gina, just make me a promise right now..."

Gina blinked her eyes. "What is it?"

Taking a DEEP breath, Lydia screamed, "DON'T YOU #$%@IN' EVER PRESS BUTTONS AT #$@&IN' RANDOM EVER AGIAIN!!!"
