It wasn't even three weeks since the failed wedding attempt and things had rapidly gotten worse while keeping the status quo. The rivals tried to kill Ranma, the finacees were even more desperate, Dumb and Dumber were pushing Ranma and Akane into marriage, while they were resisting it. Fortunately both Happosai and Cologne backed off a bit and were trying to help Ranma, even if in Happosai's case he redirected the anger towards himself.
Nodoka sighed as she waited for her son to come to her home, she had told him yesterday that she had something important to say. "Tadima." A sullen female voice called out.
Nodoka went up to her son, currently daughter, and gave her a towel to dry off. "Who hit you this time dear?"
"The old washer lady, I swear there has to be a water latel martial arts school that I don't know about. Either that or some wierd coinciendence." After grumbling a bit more she walked into the house and looked at her mother, "So, what did you want to tell me?"
Nodoka sighed, this would not be easy. "Well, it's like this. When I married Genma, I thought for sure that he would want to stay with me for our honeymoon." Her features darkened a bit. "But that fat fool decided to go on a training trip."
Ranma interupted, "Mom, what are you saying?"
Nodoka wondered how her child would take this. "I'll be blunt, nine months before you were born, I made hot nookie," Ranma gawked at her mother for saying that, "with a foreigner."
"Wait, does that means the old fart isn't my father?" Seeing her nod Ranma got a big smile on her face and started to dance around the room in a reminiscent of her 'nevah-gonna-be-a-girl-again' dance. Nodoka just chuckled at her son's antics. She went into the kitchen and got some hot water for Ranma so he could change back into a guy. Ranma spotted the water, "Thanks mom." And poured it on her, now himself. "So, who is my father?"
Nodoka smiled as she remember the kind man who helped her that night, "Well, he's an archieologist who's wife is under a curse that prevents the two of them from seeing one another."
"Jeeze, and here I thought it was only me."
"Please don't interrupt."
"Sorry mom."
"Anyways, he was very good looking and well educated and he knew quite a bit of magic." Nodoka got a far off look in her eyes. "He already had two daughters when I talked to him that night."
"So I've got two half-sisters then." Ranma blinked, "Hey, mom, what's his name? And where does he live?"
Nodoka smiled a little, "His name is Theodore Diggers and he lives in Dactaur, Atlanta, Georgia." Seeing the blank look on his face she clarifyed, "In America."
"Oh, so what now?" In response Nodoka pulled out an envelope full of money and handed it to him. Ranma looked inside and nearly fainted, "Mom, this is so much, what's it for?"
"Dear, I've noticed how bad things are getting around here, so I've given you enough money to get a plane ticket to go to the states and meet your father, as well as buy some clothes. Don't worry about him being surprised about you showing up, I sent a letter a couple of weeks ago to him telling him about you."
Ranma hugged his mother, albiet awkwardly, "Thanks mom. Umm, should I leave right now?"
"Yes dear, do not worry, I'll be fine right here. So go have some fun."
Ranma smiled, "Sure mom."
"Oh dear, I have an illegitament son?"
"WHAT?!? JUST WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT DEAR?!?"
"Ha! I knew that the panda couldn't be Ranma's father!"
"Oh My! But Nabiki, doesn't that mean that all the engagements Genma made are no good?"
