“Mmmm... donuts.”

“REM!!!!”
With a scream, Rogue bolted upwards. Gasping for air, she placed her hand on her chest. “What was that?”
She continued to breath heavily for a moment, trying to bring order to her thoughts. As she rubbed her temples, she slowly stood up “I need ta get a glass of water.”
Still dizzy from her experience she made her way out of her room and down into the kitchen. As she entered the door way she saw Spyke standing in one of the fridges, fishing for a midnight snack. Not in the mood to tease him she walked in. As she did so, her footing slipped and she stumbled, knocking over a pan.
Spyke cried out in surprise and fired a spike in her direction. Rogue did understand, or even full realize what happened next. All she knew was that some how she had dodged the speeding projectile at superhuman speeds.
“Rogue!” exclaimed Spyke. “Are you okay.”
She slowly turned around to see where the bone spike was imbedded in the back wall, and turned back to him. “I don’t know...”
