It was a Monday morning and thankfully their weren't many people at the station at this moment and of those few who were in at the moment none of them were close enough to eavesdrop on him and Saotome-san. Which would make this both easier and harder for him to draw the young man out. It was obvious he was running away from something with that travelpack full of supplies and from the way Ranma reacted to one of the wemon passing right by his desk it appeared to be woman troubles.
"Perhaps you'd like to start at the beginning Saotome-san...." The officer let the sentence trail off to invite the young man to finish it.
Ranma's answer was so faint that the officer had to strain to hear the last two words. "....nuthin important."
"Saotome-san, everyone has problems in their lives but running away is not the answer."
Ranma's head shot up from its examination of the floor at the mention of 'running away' and suddenly he was in the officers face. "I aint runnin away!"
The officer saw several other officers heading his way and motioned for them to let it be as Ranma noticed what he had done and sat back down with a mumbled. "....more complicated then that."
The officer smiled in understanding, when he was young he thought all of his problems were more complicated then any of the adults really knew. But seeing how the young man was withdrawing again he decided to push a little. "I've had wemon problems too Saotome-san and, sometimes I felt like running away but your problems can't be that bad." He was slightly startled when Ranma gave him a brief glare before leaving his seat. As he walked across the room it appeared to the officer that he had pushed the youth a bit too far and hnow he was walking out when suddenly Ranma veered off from the main doorway and went into the little room in back where the coffee machine was stored along with a couple of vending machines.
Some minutes later Ranma came out with two cups and sat back down. Looking in the cups the officer was puzzled that the cups only cantained water though one cup appeared to have hot water what with the steam rising from it. Suddenly Ranma upended the cup of cold water over his head and instantly the young man turned into a young woman. As the officer gaped Ranma sat back in the chair with a scawl on her face. "Is this complicated enough for ya?"
