Yuri scowled. "Given the fact that they've got a full squad of troops and an armored personnel carrier, while we've only got pistols and someone with us? Not a whole lot."
"Then can I make a real quick suggestion?"
"What?"
"Let's do a 'Saotome Secret Technique'."
"And that is..."
"Leave now, and hed someplace where we can figure out what ta do."
Kei stared at him. "You want us to run away?!"
Just then a blast came from a gun on the carrier, putting a big hole in the wall.
"Then again, regrouping might be a good idea."
"So can we go now?" he asked her.
"Just let me leave them a present," the redhead told him with a smirk, as she held up a grenade. Before he could do more than just stare at it, she had already pulled the pin and tossed it to the invaders. Then she pulled him by the shirt, and they ran for the doorway, tumbling through it as the explosive went off.
"At least our deposit is already ruined," Yuri murmured.
"Yeah, I'd like to go through one trip without something blowing up," her partner groused... seconds before she found herself being shoved in the chest by the pigtailed boy.
Just as she went to glare at him, she saw Ranma kicking the weapon out of the hands of a soldier, slamming it into the man's face plate, and then punching the guy so hard that he impacted a wall, cracking the surface.
"Guess you weren't kidding about the martial arts thing..."
"I'm the best," he told her simply, and put out a hand to help her up.
"If the two of you are done flirting," Yuri commented, sounding slightly amused, "can we get out of here so we can start finding out who's after us this time?"
"HEY!" Kei and Ranma yelled.
The blue haired woman merely smirked as the group made their way to the hallway, and to the relative safety of the elevator.
"You lost the boy."
Harolds looked at the screen of his communicator and kept his face expressionless. "There was unexpected resistance."
"He is one confused boy. You were armed and had the element of surprise."
"There were two armed women with him. They gave assistance."
"Who are they?"
"Unknown at this time, but they seem to be trained."
The frown of the person on the other end of the line reached his voice. "Could they be working for our competitors?"
"It is a possibility."
"Then I suggest that you reclaim this boy before he gets into unwanted hands."
"Understood sir."
"Good," the other man said, and cut the connection to Harolds.
Who scowled as he looked at it for a long minute.
Fortunately for the 'Dirty Pair', er... 'Lovely Angels' and Ranma, the lobby was the scene of panicked chaos as they stepped out of the elevator. They slid into the crowd of rushing people with ease, and managed to look like they weren't doing anything out of the ordinary. To any observer, they were simply two attractive women out with a young man.
They just hoped that no one would suspect them of being involved in the firefight that had erupted in their room.
"Looks like we're clear," Yuri whispered to the other two with her.
"Good, but they're still around here," Kei reminded her.
"I know that. Which means that we're going to have to keep an eye out."
"And on this guy here."
Ranma blinked. "Why me?"
"They saw you with us, and until we know who's after us, and deal with them, they might try to get you to get us."
"But I can take care of myself."
"Sure you can," the redhead told him, "But it's better if we don't split up until we find out what's going on."
"Plus, this way, she can keep you around when it's time to go to bed," drawled her partner.
"Yuri!"
"So... what do you think we should do?"
