Usagi's first reaction to the situation (completely covered in steak sauce and about to become dinner for a ravenously hungry and vaguely wolf-like monster) was somewhat predictable.
An ear-splitting "EEEEEEEEEEKKK!!"
Her second reaction was equally predictable. Run like... well... a hungry monster was after her around the room. Still screaming at the top of her lungs, of course.
Unfortunately for her, her parents had gone visiting a distant sick relative in a hospital, and, in a rare instance of trust, had left her in charge at home until they got back - around noon the next day.
Oddly enough, the monster's reaction, instead of the expected "chase and gobble", was merely to sigh and rub it's forehead with one massive paw. Then, wincing at a particularly shrill note in Usagi's expressions of terror, it stuck the other paw out and neatly clotheslined the girl.
"Look," it said in a cultured tone (and a British accent). "What's all the screaming about?"
Taken aback for a moment, Usagi mutely stared up at the... whatever it was... the giant human-wolf-thing.
It - he, really, from the voice - poked her with a single claw. "Really now! It's not like this isn't unexpected or anything."
The terrified girl found her voice. "I-it isn't?"
"Of course not," the monster scoffed. "I bought you, after all, fair and square!"
"WHAT??!?"
It winced and raised it's arms defensively. "Not so loud! You see, I hadn't gotten anything to eat in days, and this nice young boy gave me this for only a hundred yen."
With that, it took a crumpled piece of paper out of... who knows where, and handed it to Usagi, who numbly read it aloud.
"I hereby sell my older sister to a monster for 100 yen. Signed... Shingo."
"You see, it's all quite clear. Is there some kind of problem?"
Terror turned to outrage. Oh, that little brat...
"YES!"
