[Episode 4789] [Episode 4789]Water was easy to come by. The old lady two houses down always had a bucket outside, ready for her to wash her sidewalk. Shampoo retrieved it, and extracted a small pouch from her cleavage. She stared at it with wide eyes for a second, willing herself to go through with her plan. At last, she tore the pouch open, and poured the content into the bucket. The water inside bubbled and frothed for a few seconds, and then stilled. Shampoo gritted her teeth, and reached for the bucket, only to have it snatched from her hands.
‘What the hell do you think you’re doing!?” Akane demanded, holding the sloshing bucket well away from herself.
“You give back!” Shampoo demanded, lunging for Akane.
Akane danced backward, evading, Shampoo. Akane had the advantage. Shampoo couldn’t risk spilling the water at this point. She had no more of the Instant Naniichuan. Strangely, Akane, who could have poured the water out right away, seemed as reluctant as Shampoo to spill it.
Akane would never have admitted to that reluctance, or to the reasons behind it. The simple fact was that Shampoo’s motivation was not all that strange to her. Living with Ranma, and feeling the way she did about him, in her deepest darkest secret longings, it was not really possible that her dreams could not sometimes be about her being male, and Ranma female. The bucket in her hand could make that dream come true, a least temporarily. So, she was very careful of it, so careful that she did not pay as much attention as she should have to were she was stepping.
