Luckily, it managed to find a place in the courtyard where it could watch without being seen. And what was better was that apparently several of the djinn were going into a room. It could see a blue haired one, a taller blonde, and one with sea green hair, all in obvious djinn dress go by into a building. Nothing seemed to say that they were even taking normal precautions, never mind having any clue about the immediate danger.
It would have followed them, except that two birds decided to attack it. "Go away!" it hissed, trying to shake them off, "Go find sssomeone elssse to bother! I'm no worm!"
By the time it got them to go away, only a few minutes had passed. Not enough time for it to have missed anything, it thought. It still had plenty of time to see two of the djinn coming back out with a third. The blonde and the green-haired one had left the building, but this time with a brunette with green eyes.
But what was more important was something that the familiar thought that the mistress would want to know very quickly.
Khatraa stood with her arms folded across her chest and watched the place where her djinn were waiting. She did not think it too early to claim them as she was certain that they were guaranteed to be hers. Only a single boy stood in her way, and once he was out of her way, she'd be able to claim what was hers.
"Misstressss! Misstressss!" came her familiar's voice and she glanced down to see the creature slithering up.
"What do you have to report?" she demanded.
"The djinn are down there..."
The sha'ir stomped on high heel onto its tail and ground down onto it. "I know that already!"
"Ahhh! But they ssseek to hide by changing thier clothing!"
"Hmm?" she mumured and took her foot off of it.
"They are wearing the clothing of the young people of the area..."
"Very interesting... But if they think to trick me, they are sorely mistaken. Come, let us prepare to get my new djinn."
"Asss you wissh, Misstresss."
"Of course, everything shall be as I wish," cackled Khatraa, while:
