Then she amended her thoughts.
Romeo wasn't her fiancee.
Romeo was her husband. She grumbled at that.
Unlike the whole engagement with Ranma, as Kasumi had said, there was a child involved here, and so the marriage had been arranged and executed quite quickly along side Ranma and his wives, as well as Kasumi and that Tirga she ended up with. Akane grumbled again, that pervert had BETTER treat Kasumi right.
"Fate can be harsh," Julia Diggers said just behind her. Akane blinked, hadn't Mistress Julia been ahead of them? "But don't let it make you harsh."
"I'm carrying the child of my husband, whom I've known for three days and is apparently some kind of CRIMINAL with the way you're watching him," Akane said. Romeo winced at her shouting. "I'm being forced by my family to move to a world out of some playstation game. And to top it all off, I'm not human anymore. What do you call harsh about all that?"
"We'll talk about this later," Julia said firmly. "Now get ready, we're about to hit my Jade-side home."
"Okay, okay..." she frowned on noticing the wererats ahead of her staring in shocked awe. She walked up to them rather confused and then joined them in staring.
"Fucking awesome..." Lydia mentioned.
"This is a lot nicer than Zero's place," Romeo said.
"Cool," Moisha said. "There's, like, a mud bath!"
"Hey, there's a pretty bird over here," Raphiel said, pointing excitedly.
Akane was speechless. It wasn't a dojo. Well...it wasn't only a dojo. It was a complex...it was an estate to make the Kuno manse look small. Set in a valley that would have been impossible to find were it not for the fact that Julia was leading them there.
"The main shundosi is in the center," Julia said pointing to what Akane recognized as a dojo, she remembered the word for later use. It would not be good to give the training hall an improper name. "There are obstacle courts and other training facilities. Recuperative facilities. Living quarters, something Brianna calls a combat town made to provide semi-solid illusionary opponents for you to fight."
"How the $#$@# do you afford all this?" Lydia asked.
"Simple," Julia said. "Anytime one of my students does something that really needs punishing...I get an addition. And the materials are perfectly available around this valley."
"And the combat town?" Akane asked, awed.
"Theo and my daughters' apology gift," Julia said.
"Apology for, like, what?" Moisha asked.
"Oh, they were stuck in an alternate dimension while I was fighting a tournament," Julia said, not that she asked for an apology or anything, but it was nice anyway.
"So umm...what are we doing here?" Romeo asked.
"We're here to be interrogated, of course," Lydia answered cynically.
"As if Gothwrain would give any sort of worthwhile information to a bunch of kids," Julia said rolling her eyes. "No, consider this work release."
"Release?" Akane repeated. It had sounded more like prison, though considering the prison it was more like a vacation, maybe she could train up a little, catch up with Ukyou, Shampoo, or even Ranma!
"We could send them back to the leprechauns,"Julia said.
"Errr, no," Lydia said. "You're sure those %$$@%@ing little munchkins ain't gonna come after us?"
"Nope," Julia said. "As long as we keep an eye on you, they're not coming."
"So what first?" Akane asked.
"Well, Gar, Luan and Carla should have everything mostly in shape," Julia said. "So..."
"I hate that joke," Lydia muttered.
"I don't think he's joking."
