"Whoever you are, you're not getting away with this," Haruka declared as she struggled against the chains holding her.
Not being native to Japan and using a translation spell to broach the language barrier, Khatraa had never heard of Sailor Senshi. She had never heard of the Moon Kingdom, Silver Millenium, Dark Kingdom, or even of sentai series. Which meant that she was interpreting things as she found them by the standards she'd developed. "Oh hush." She made a gesture and an iron gag riveted itself into place around her captive's mouth.
"Someone in your group must be quite clever," said Khatraa after finishing her examination. "Your magical signature is not at all what I would expect from a djinni. You have no master, and so your considerable powers are out of your reach, but I had thought I had detected a far more intense signature than I am now."
Karna spoke up from where she was coiled. "Perhaps it was because they were in concert?"
Khatraa considered for a moment and nodded. "I knew there was a reason I've allowed you to live. You actually can manage the simple observations that I may overlook due to not having a simple mind. Look here at her magical disguise though. So complex and detailed, and her power signature has been altered to make her less noticeable as a djinni."
"MFFFF!" protested Haruka.
"Now let's see," said Khatraa. "Genie of The Ring. Genie Of The Lamp. Genie Of The Chalice. I call upon your powers."
Three djinni appeared.
"She is bound with chains. Now bind her with magic," commanded the sha'ir. "Bind her so tightly that she cannot even move when I strip the disguise from her."
The three djinni obeyed, though they hesitated and looked with pity upon their target.
"They know their place," purred Khatraa as she walked around the three. Her hand came to rest on the Ring Genie's shoulder and her grip sent her nails into the pale flesh of that slave. "Though they test my patience by not leaping to obey. Soon you shall be like them. The magic that I wield pits your own strength against you. If you were as you appear - a normal girl, I could not do this!"
Haruka felt everything blur and realized that she was now Sailor Uranus without the transformation pen. Now she could get even.
"M-Mistress," stammered the Slave Of The Ring. "She is strong. She fightssss."
"What is your name, child," commanded Khatraa, ignoring her slave.
"I am Sailor Uranus," managed the Sailor Senshi as she struggled against the magic.
"Excellent," said Khatraa as she turned her attention to a scroll. Now that she had the true name she could do this.
The naked girl caught in chains of magic struggled as she felt things draining away from her.
"What is your name?" Khatraa demanded.
"I... I don't know," the captive's eyes went wide with shock.
Khatraa held up the scroll which burned briefly with a yellow-orange flame before it became a gemstone of the same color. "I have here your contract slave. From now on you are simply a gemslave. I will wear you and your fellows on a necklace I think. From now on you will answer to the name of... Ur. I will call you Ur from now on."
"As my mistress commands," answered the amnesiac.
"That was most strange, almost as if you weren't a djinni at all," said Khatraa. "Yet you had far too much magic to be human. I would have thought you a fellow sha'ir or an elemental sorceress, except that your power was entirely on a narrow focus like a djinni. Most curious. I may have to let one of your fellows retain her identity until after I have had a few answers. Perhaps. For now though slave, this gem is your prison where I have placed your life force. Let your essence fill it and begone from my sight."
Karna slipped over to look inside the gem. "What could she be if she were not a djinni?"
"One of the fae folk perhaps," said Khatraa, musing on this herself. "Or some sort of oriental spirit. I have not passed through these islands in quite some time and they may have spirits native. If she is of the fae, then she will remained trapped within the gemstone even if she breaks the reduction charm. If she is a spirit or something like that - she will be held nearly as securely as if she were a djinni. If she is a sorceress of some strange kind, she is still bound within the gem."
"Your wisdom knows no bounds, and so too soon will your power," hissed Karna.
"True. Though they have altered their magic, they are all connected. One has fallen, and I can now modify the procedures so as to better capture the others." Khatraa smiled unpleasantly. "They have no Master, no Sha'ir contract, and so they have no protection at all."
