FurEva: Not the volcano based Angel at all [Episode 51860]

by Kestral

The Lords Of The Djinn had heard of Chaos Theory long before it became fashionable. The Lords Of The Djinn however, were not a subtle crowd when they could get away with loud and impressive.

However, the moment they'd seen Mihoshi and heard her wish to be a Djinni - the term "butterfly" had come to more than one mind.

Three wishes would she grant before she shelved the "genie of the lamp" gig and went back to her home reality.

The First Wish had been in a Ranma timeline where he would die in one year four months due to Ryoga getting really depressed about Akari being more happy to see him as P-chan than as Ryoga, leading to him having a nightmare and find the third stage of the Shishi Hokodan while sleeping. Incidently turning the Tendo house and dojo into a bomb crater.

Ranma was now a Washu-style super-genius and playing merry hob with his home timeline. The Green Djinn, who had channelled the power for Mihoshi to wield, was well pleased and could be heard laughing at the antics transpiring there.

Shinji Ikari in a fairly typical Evangelion timeline had gotten the Second Wish.

The nature of one Angel had been significantly altered by the more hentai Purple Marid. Shinji's wish that his luck with girls and love be reversed from Abyssmal had gotten confused with some ecchi magazines Touji had shown him and his own desires to have a pet getting all mangled together.

The other Djinn weren't all nice people, but even those that genuinely liked mortals had to agree that it beat going splut.

The Angel had been called one thing, but that name was stricken and Chimera was the new name.

Within hours, using an ability to ride along electronic fields such as in phone lines, it had struck in Bangladesh, at SEELE's hidden base, and in New York City. Within a day, Picadilly Circus and Moscow's Red Park had been struck by the viral AT attack.

Which is when Chimera moved against NERV Central again.

"Technical Division 2 has completed the Cage," said Hyuga, covering the mike of his headset as he relayed to the Commander.

"Getting electrical spikes, pattern Blue," said Makoto.

"It's beginning to physically manifest," said Koji, Maya's replacement. "Bringing up visual."

As the screens showed the new image, Fuyutsuki summed it up. "Ugly sucker."

"Don't bother with the conventional weapons," said Koji into his commlink. "They never work anyway and we could use the budget elsewhere."

Gendo was about to reprimand the fellow but held back when he realized exactly how much money they could save by holding back now. Hmmm.

"Shinji is in Unit 01, launching Eva." Hyuga finished setting up the exit port.

"It's mutating," said Fuyutsuki. "Bring up an image of the Angel prior to its disappearance and put them side by side."

"Less Escher and more Giger," Hyuga suggested, showing his artistic side for once.

"Readings of AT field show the instabilities factor has increased dramatically, Magi place the probability of detonation at 75% likely to occur within the next hour. 50/50 of being within fifteen minutes." Makoto checked a display.

"Have the Magi run a simulation. Likely effects of the detonation. Advise Shinji to contain the Angel within the Electron Cage." Gendo was calm and in control. Despite this getting awfully divergent from the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Shinji steadied himself. Despite being at the forefront of the blast, he was fine whereas those who had gotten a secondary discharge were out of it.

Drawing a progressive knife and settling the Eva into a knife-fighter's stance, Shinji wanted to know why he couldn't get a progressive sword. Something with a little more reach would be really nice.

The blob of the Angel's form showed a bunny's screaming head rearing up from it briefly, before it turned a snarling molten wolf's head in his direction.

"Oh hell," said Shinji over the open line.
