Cardmaster Ranma: A rival [Episode 54208]

A rival. Someone to compete with.

Well, it could be worse, Ranma realized. His situation here wasn't terribly certain and due to factors beyond his control was looking at a long time trying to master these cards and things. Ranma thought for a moment and spread the cards out to contemplate them briefly.

Finally he went to a board. Since he could only manifest two of the cards at a time, Setsuna had come up with a way of keeping track of who had already been turned loose for their day.

He put the cards aside showing Pluto sleeping with her hand cradling her Time Key Staff and the card showing Saturn sleeping with the Silence Glaive clasped between her hands. Their turns had already come and gone and it looked like Hotaru might have hit it off with that Sakura girl. Not that Ranma was giving up The Silence card.

That left the other cards. Finally he chose two.

"THUNDER!" Ranma called out, flipping the card with the ponytailed girl bordered by lightning.

The card seemed to change, becoming a crackling discharge that reformed into the girl known as Sailor Jupiter, who looked curiously towards him.

"For the space of a day, until the sun sets, be free," said Ranma, remembering the proper words.

Makoto Kino stumbled forward as she transformed back to her civilian identity. "Oh? My turn?"

"Maybe we can get some sparrin' in later," suggested Ranma before turning to the second card. He'd only met them earlier briefly, so he only had a vague idea of what to expect from:
