In all truth Honey couldn't really summon up any kind of objection to the situation in which she found herself. She was effectively the leader of a heram compossed of various individuals of either great power or great ability. If someone had told her about it one month previously she'd have been offended at the idea of being part of such a setup.
So what about it had changed her opinion?
Part of it was that her old life back in Cosplay city was pretty much at an end. With the threat of Panther Zora finallt taken care of it was as though the family that had grown up around her simply drifted apart. Still she could have taken it but for one thing, Chokei marrage.
In a way it was very petty of her, she should have been happy that her young friend had found happiness. The problem was that it bought home to her the fact that for all the love in her heart, for all the humanity of her soul she was at the end of the day still an android. She could never bare a love children, she could never feel the beat of her own heart, she was incapable of even growing old with them. She was forever doomed to be an outsider looking in.
Given her frame of mind it was small wonder the Power felt her ripe for 'recruitment', a proccess that even her sophisticated mental defenses could not hold out against. She'd pretty much been doomed to become the Powers adoring slave.
If not for Ranma.
Ranma, even the name alone brought a smile to her lips with the warmth that accompanied it. She'd known he was special from the instant that she'd laid eyes on him, when he'd rescued her from her control tank. He was brash and a bit crude, but benieth it was a nobility and courage that shone through the layer of dross.
The two of them had quickly aquired a deep respect for each others drive and skill as they fought of the various sevitors that the Power sent against them. It had been that friendship that had led Ranma to entrust the Silver Imperium Crystal to her.
Well now it was bonded to her, as vital to her existence as her artificial heart. Still it did come with some bonuses. She was now Silver Honey the Neo Moon Senshi. She was a fair bit stronger and faster when she powered up, and while she couldn't access the full power of the Crystal on demand when she did it was amazing. Cut a demon in half? HAH! With the power at her command sh could slay dark Gods.
Also came the sheer feleling of belonging that came with being a Neo Senshi. They were a team, they all loved Ranma, they accepted this. It might seem somewhat warped but the sheer trust and honesty that was between them made fighting seem absurd. Also they all knew that Ranma would never aduse them or the situation.
All in all Honey was happy with the way things were.
Now on the the new Sailor Mercury!
