While Dr. Strange was trying to figure out what happened, Agamotto appeared. The cosmic entity didn't like what had been done to his champion and undid it and went away.
However the curse wasn't quite as easily dispelled as Agamotto thought it would be. The curse left Dr. Strange, but went into a being that was more or less the same as him. That being was the counter earth I version of Dr. Strange, a much less controled and more egostical being. He called himself Necromancer and tried to gain the power of Eternity. He was sucked into Eternity and able to absorb some power over the years he was stuck. He got out when Eternity was rendered catatonic by Magus. Someone entered Eternity and Necromancer got out. He allied with Magus and tried kill Dr. Strange and was tricked by Dr. Strange into using the power of Eternity. The power was too much for him and he exploded. What was left of him was an astral whisper or afterimage. The curse interacting with remanants of Eternity's power restored Necromancer.
Ranma didn't know about what happened. Ranma was in a "meeting" with a being that admiting to be fearful of would make sense. He was meeting Thanos. Ranma had appeared in place he wasn't sure of at the moment. He hadn't used his dimension crossing abilities yet, but was confident he could get back to Earth to make more chaos.
"You're transformation has caught my intrest" Thanos stated.
"Well that's nice but did you have to call me here just for that?" Ranma asked.
"Of course not, I called you here for one reason" Thanos said.
"And that would be?" Ranma asked.
"To become part of my partheon of gods" Thanos said.
Ranma thought about it and his answer was...
