Which was why she was liking these three horned dinos very much. They didn't seemed to be at all viscious, and were pretty nice all around. Heck, they had treated her nicely, even when she had first met them.
But not even they could be everywhere. Velociraptors were fast and smart, so it was no surprise that one managed to dart around the larger dinos and in her direction. It leapt at her, its teeth and claws ready to bear.
Facing something with lots of sharp and pointing things in its mouth planning on doing her great harm, she fell back on an old instinct for her.
She threw a full strength uppercut at it. Her fist struck it under its jaw and sent if flying back over the triceratops to land in an ungainly heap back near its pack.
The herd of triceratops took in what she had done and were pleased. They had little trouble keeping the velociraptors away, but it was good that the human was willing to help in her own defense. And it was a better one than what they would consider possible.
For the velociraptors' part, they were a little more wary as it was apparent that the prey was not as weak as first believed. Since it was not of the usual 'run screaming from threats' type, they were changing their 'strategies' while:
