Excerpted from the field report of "M" commander of the B-13 branch of MI5
Mar 13 The League's support team is near complete. The only remaining member of note is Miss Pincer, whom we shall rendezvous with at Atlantis later.
And that leaves the field team to complete.
I am satisfied with Sargeant Celas's performance to date. She has shown herself to be a reliable soldier, though she still somehow remains a little naive despite the reports of what her Institute has gone through of late. How this is possible given her nature mystifies me.
We have yet to track down the thief and I desire a little more time to properly address the matter of approaching Lady Aensland, but, in the mean time we have possibly located another on the list I set forth.
Included is a snipping from the American magazine "Newsweek" that should be of particular interest.
Excerpted from the Newsweek of the second week of March.
The warring in southwestern Africa
seems to have stalled. A local
village has according to some reports
hired mercenaries to hold off the tide
of the area's warlords.
The reports indicate that the number
of casualties has risen by vast numbers,
though the death toll is reportedly much
lower, even non-existent, with only
executions among them. Many of the
soldiery of the warlords appear to be
deserting and taking up position with the
villages.
Reporters have been told that the mercenaries
hired by the village include a "giant in a
red-coat with tremendous shooting skills...."
Return to "M"'s field report.
This description does match that of our still unfound son of Boreas. We are moving to investigate.
On a side note, I have respected Mr. Pierson's work with the watchers, and so recruited him to aide with research and investigation. But, having met the man himself, I must say he will be possibly be useful upon the missions themselves.
He is most certainly an immortal of the ilk that his very society is set to watch, which reeks of the shadows of Helsing employing Dracula for its army. The only clue I have to this Mr. Pierson's age, however, is the fact that that accursed leech I have been saddled with treats him with respect and caution.
I shall have to keep a close eye on that one.
((AN: Boreas is the North Wind. He once blew apart the Persian navy in great wind storm.))
