Then, as if some signal had been sent, the remains of the pack fled off into the brush.
The tyrannosaur lifted one of the fallen raptors, giving an instinctive shake of its head to further increase the bite of those jaws - shearing the raptor in half.
Ryoga stared - knowing darn well that if he turned into P-chan here his chances of survival were pretty darn slim.
The tyrannosaur spent a few moments circling and roaring but the ring of horned dinosaurs kept the large carnivore from darting in and plucking the succulent morsels within that ring.
For which two succulent morsels were quite grateful.
Finally the tyrannosaur stomped off, perpetually hungry but unwilling to try her luck against those horns again.
"Come on, this may be our only chance to get away," said Ryoga. "How did I end up in the Land Of The Lost again?" He was wrong about the location but that was understandable.
Akane would later shout "Ryoga Hibiki! Because of you I nearly got eaten by dinosaurs!" and try to hit him. Right now she kept quiet because calling attention to yourself seemed like a really really bad idea while they were here.
Akane and Ryoga made their way out of the nesting ground, Akane not remembering the pack of eggs she was carrying, until they found themselves
