One of the crewmen of the converted missile sub noticed her stepping down the corridor and nudged his partner.
"Look it's that little English cop we picked up," he said softly.
"Woman on a submarine, never thought I'd see it," his friend, shaking his head.
"About time, I'd say," the first noted.
"Watch yourself, Jake," the other said cautiously. "I hear they don't take fraternizing too well."
"She isn't military, Kirk," Jake reminded him. "Heck, she isn't even American. I don't think there's anything here."
At this point the preoccupied Victoria started to pass by them, only to find her path blocked by the tall form of the American sailor.
"Excuse me," she said, looking up, a suspicious expression on her face. "Can I help you?"
"You know, maybe I can help you," Jake said.
"Pardon?" Victoria said. "I don't really need any help that I know of."
"Oh?" the crewmen asked. "Well, you know I've heard about all you Brits and how uptight you are, you know, almost like you're dead." He leaned over her with a leer. "And baby I can really make you feel alive. Not like whatever dead boyfriend you're whacking back home."
Victoria shook with anger at the blatant and offensive come ons. The last time she had to deal with this, it was from a commanding officer who turned out to be untrustworthy in other manners. She wasn't about to take it from a common soldier.
The man's friend, meanwhile, had apparently turned a blind eye to the proceedings. Though it was a question as to whether that was for Jake's or Victoria's benefit.
She growled and snapped her hand up to grab Jake's away from where he was reaching for her cheek.
"What the fuck are you doing, bitch?" Jake gasped as his hand was grabbed. "Let go of my hand." And at that point Victoria started squeezing and twisting until she'd forced him out of the way.
"What do you know about death!?" she demanded angrily as she let him go, dropping him to the floor of the corridor before proceeding on in a huff. "Or pleasing the dead?"
"What the fuck is her problem?" Jake demanded, cradling his arm.
"I think it's more your problem," Kirk muttered.
"Damn, she's strong," Jake grumbled. "Probably some sort of butch lesbian or something."
"Sure she is," Kirk said, not sounding to much like he agreed.
