"I think there's something wrong with her," Melfina said in a worried tone. Eyes turned toward Gene.
"What are you all looking at me for?" Gene asked, nervously.
"I should think that's obvious," Tsuzuka said, visiting from wherever she spent the majority of her time. "As your the one that deflowered her in the first place."
"What exactly did you say to her that morning that upset her anyway?" Melfina asked, flushing somewhat in memory.
Gene grumbled and scratched his head.
"I said something a little stupid, that's all," Gene said.
"You didn't call her an animal did you?" Jim asked. Gene paled a bit, wincing but was saved, in a manner of speaking, by Jim's next comment. "Or did you...pass something on to her?"
"Pass something on?" Gene asked. "What do you mean?"
"Jim has a point," Melfina said. "Considering your activities, maybe you...picked something up from a date..."
"Picked something up," Gene said with narrowed eyes.
"A little social problem," Tsuzuka suggested, sipping her tea.
"Hey!" Gene snapped angrily. "My pipes are one hundred percent clean I'll have you know!"
"If that's not a problem then," Melfina said, her voice expressing concern.
"Look, I'll go up and ask her," Gene said. "She's probably just acting anyway."
Gene frowned as he stood up and started walking for Aisha's door.
"Is this a good idea?" Melfina asked as Gene left to speak to Aisha.
"At the very least it is good entertainment," Tsuzuka noted in her normal manner. Still, she hoped it did something. She was starting to miss the Ctarl-Ctarl's normal fiery and emotional temperment.

Gene was about to knock on the girl in question's door when the soft sound of crying reached through the old door.
He was taking a risk, but they had to get Aisha out of this rut she was diving herself into. He had to, actually, considering it was him that helped put her in it. Starting way back when he had still been with Hilda and a brief encounter with Aisha's ship had gotten her stranded.
He opened the door and strode inside, taking in the general state of disarray he found the room in.
"What do you want?" Aisha demanded. "Want another round of bestiality."
"I heard crying..." Gene started. He noticed her tail was out...that was always a bad sign for the shapechanger's emotional state.
"Oh really," Aisha said. "Well it can't be from in here. There are only animals in here and animals don't cry. Do they?"
"Come on, you're not still letting that get to you are you?" Gene asked. "I said something stupid, but it isn't anything I haven't said before."
"But you had to say it after THAT!?!" she snapped. "Acting as if I wasn't even in the room?"
"Yeah, so it was very bad choice of words," Gene said weakly, hoping nobody else was listening. "Look Aisha, I'm sorry about the comment. I was surprised, I didn't know what to think. It's no reason to...to..."
Gene's eyes flashed to the box on the ground between them and the thing lying next to it. Aisha's own eyes tracked to the ground and then, in a flash of motion both dived for it. Aisha managed the box, but Gene managed to snatch the test itself.
"Aisha," Gene said hesitantly.
"What?" the glaring Ctarl-Ctarl half-growled.
"Let's go talk somewhere private," Gene said.
"Sounds good," Aisha said, then a vindictive smile worked over her face. "How about that restaurant where we fought that MacDougal guy the first time."
"But the dinners start at 820 wong!" Gene protested. The protest turned very weak under the glower coming from Aisha. "Let's go."
A few minutes later an irritable Aisha was walking out of the house ahead of Gene who quickly and anxiously called back.
"We'll be back in a bit!" he said.
The three remaining memebers of the Outlaw Star crew stared among themselves and wondered what this meant.
"Well, seems he may have passed something along all right," Tsuzuka said with a quiet smile.
"You mean he is sick with something?" Jim asked, missing the implication.
