Apparently, a creature that had gone extinct sixty-five million years earlier had more sense than one swordsman from Furinkan.
"Stay back foul beast!" declared Tatewakei Kuno, "I shall allow you to go no further!"
The T-Rex just looked at the puny edible creature in front of it and roared.
In the face of the wind and sound that generated, Kuno stood firm. "I fear nothing that you are capable of! Do your worst!"
To which the giant carnivore responded by scooping up the irritant by use of its lower jaw and flung it into the air for a moment before swallowing it.
Sayuri winced. "Well... he did say for it to do its worst."
"You know something though..," said a thoughtful looking Akane.
"What?"
"Those dinosaurs aren't so bad."
Her friend just blinked and then shrugged.
At the same time, the T-Rex had noticed them as they hadn't moved. It lowered its head so that its snout was right in front of them, and growled lowly. Several sniffs from it made the two tremble a bit, and the jaws opened to show lots of sharp teeth and a large gullet.
But it stopped suddenly and stayed there for several moments before pulling back. The mammoth creature rocked from side to side, its small forelimbs clutched close to its chest. It hacked several times, obviously in some discomfort.
Which was when it regurgitated something that was sent flying over to slam into a wall. The mass slid against the surface to the floor where it landed in a pile there.
A hand raised from the heap of T-Rex slobber and things best left undescribed as a voice said "I fight on..."
"Guess he was too much to swallow," commented Yuka.
Sayuri rolled her eyes. "Yeah, but he might not think the same of us."
"Which means that we have to get out of here," agreed Akane.
"Follow me!" called out Ryouga while:
