"There are better places to be talking about that than here," Ryouga said. "Do you see a restaurant anywhere?"
"How about that one?" Coriander said quickly, annoyed by Ryouga's replacing her hood. Ryouga followed her pointing thumb to see an Ucchan's just down the street.
"No," Ryouga said, quickly adding an explanation. "Somewhere else. The food there's a little one-sided."
Ryouga about for a little bit longer and found an American restaurant, some sort of steak house, further down. He grimaced at the thought of the price, but he needed somewhere that was a little more secure than an Ucchan's.
Only a few minutes later, Ryouga was sitting across from Ranma and Herb's daughter, her glowering at him as he considered what to say to her.
"You know, looking at you, I can almost see your parents again," Ryouga said. "You certainly have Ranma's spirit and the hair is definitely your father's."
"Yeah, well I didn't come to talk about me," Coriander snapped.
"Definitely your mother's spirit," Ryouga repeated with mixed emotions. The girl turned morose for and looked down at herself.
"What happened to them?" she whispered.
"Officially," Ryouga said. "She and your father died in a gas explosion on your father's property."
"Master Tarou told me they were murdered," Coriander insisted.
"Tarou?" Ryouga said, surprised. "Tarou?! That's who you've been with all this time?"
"What about my parents?!" Coriander insisted.
"Unfortunately," Ryouga said quietly. "Your mother had a large number of enemies and I wasn't speaking to her regularly when she died."
"My mother...had enemies?" Coriander repeated.
"Did Tarou tell you anything about why he thought your parents died?" Ryouga asked.
"Something about getting married," Coriander said. "Did she have a boyfriend or something?"
"I suppose it's possible that Kuno is behind this...but," Ryouga thought a moment. "No, not his type of thing...so..."
"You don't know who did it, do you?" Coriander said bitterly. "Or you won't tell me because you're afraid I might get hurt like Master Tarou."
