"Yes SIR," said pilot Katsuragi. "I'll be seeing to it ASAP sir!"
"Hmmm," said the Commander. "You've gotten good marks in the Academy. Experienced with small personal aircraft. You've also flown a few American aircraft. Misawa AFB?"
"Yes, sir!" agreed Misato. The briefing had been fairly extensive and slammed directly into her brain. Though she hadn't flown much back at NERV, she was a pretty good pilot here and could fly some of the aging American-built vehicles, the A-10, a few Russian aircraft, and a couple of other vehicles.
"You've got 1000 hours on a 'Zero'? I wasn't aware any were still air-worthy?" The commander looked intrigued.
"Yes sir, it was a rebuilt one over at Misawa."
The commander nodded and continued reading the folders in front of him. "Drinking problem, eh?"
"Y-yes sir," said Misato with a wince, one of the changes made to her in this incarnation that she wasn't happy about.
"You... off ONE beer?!" The Commander looked up with a clearly disbelieving gaze.
"It was a 480ml double bocked import sir," protested Misato.
"You were taken off all piloting for six months probation pending this marriage arrangement and if you could remain sober during working hours," said the Commander as he returned to his report.
"Yes, sir," agreed Misato, glad that she could get something to drink offduty. She really needed one.
"This report doesn't the nature of your arrangement to Saotome, care to explain?" asked the Commander.
"Well, sir, it should be on page four," hedged Misato. "Essentially it's this way -"
