"Which we wouldn't have had to if you hadn't gone off like you usually do," admonished the other boy.
"Details, details... At least we're just about done."
"Or as close as we would ever get."
"That's the spirit!"
"No, that's desperation."
"Don't worry! Your parents won't have any problem whatsoever."
"And just what won't we have a problem with?" asked Kiima as she landed.
"Mother!" blurted Hajime.
"That is who I am. Now would you two explain what is going on around here?"
"What... What do you mean?" asked Basil. "Nothing wrong here."
"Oh really..."
"Yeah..."
"Then why are there planks nailed to the wall of our home?"
"Umm... decoration?"
"And the window from the old shed that is in place in the wall?"

"Umm... That way Mother," Hajime said hopefully.
"I do not think so. Where we you when all this was going on?"
"Well I went to go to the bathroom..."
"Let me guess, Basil did it again."
"Sort of..."
"And rather than dealing with whatever he had done, you went and helped him try to cover it up in the most haphazard way possible."
"I just wanted to fix it..."
"Really? Take a look at my pastel blue, pink and lavander walls, and tell me that you 'fixed it'."
"I guess we didn't..."
"That is right. And both of you are going to have to deal with what you have done as soon as I think of an appropriate punishment."
Both boys hung their heads and groaned.
"And don't think that I won't talk to my dear husband when he gets back either."
That got a whimper from the pair while:
