"No, Ranma, you don't use it like a needle. You hack and slash, not prick!" exclaimed an extremely exasperated Eilistraee (mwahahaha! mass alliteration!).
"I'm trying!" protested Ranma. "But the sword is really heavy!" He looked accusingly at the giant blade that Eilistraee had given him to train.
"Ranma, it has a enchantment on it to make it as light as required for the best performance of the user," The dark-skinned woman sighed. Somehow, magic seemed to flutter erratically around the boy, even though his magic control was quite good. But this enchantment was given by a fellow elven goddess, one who was expert at enchanting weapons. Surely his fluctuating aura couldn't have..?
Suddenly, she moved over and said to the roughly ten year boy and cocked her head curiously as she looked at the boy straining to lift the sword. What had happened? "You! Did you do this?" Eilistraee narrowed her eyes. The other goddess merely laughed, and leaning against a nearby tree smiled lazily.
"I don't need to do anything. His nature tweaks everything, and you know it. If I had tried to intefere, I would probably have been attacked by something as bizarre as...well, something bizarre." Selanine finished.
"Alright. So magic weapons are out...that means he either has to get some runic weapons...or normal ones. I suppose he can practice with a rapier, or some other light weapon for a while..." Eilistraee sighed. She despised rapiers...the last time she encounterred them was with that irritating human who hadn't seemed to understand he was a goddess. He had simply amazing resilience, though, and Eilistraee couldn't bring herself to kill him. 'What was his name again..?' She mused. 'Raphael something or other, I think...'
"Excellent, boy! That was incredible!" The drow goddess heard her charge being praised. 'What, did she actually manage to get results from him..?' She walked into the clearing where Selanine was going to train the boy, and was shocked to find...
