Rei was... fidgeting.
She was the only one of the players to show up for school, (even if only one of her did so.) And while she could partially communicate with her other selves, neither had found any of the other.
And, to top it all off... she was... she didn't know what she was feeling...
Rei was still very confused by the changes that had been wrought upon her. All she knew was that, for the first time in her memory, the teacher's constant droning about the Second Impact was at once annoying her and boring her to tears.
She didn't understand yet what had changed, or why she found something that had the day before been just another facet of life, suddenly so upsetting. All she did understand was that she didn't like feeling this way.
In desperation to occupy herself, to escape that hideous drone, Rei did something she'd never done before.
She hooked her terminal to the school's library, and began browsing...

Rei was... almost drooling.
She'd decided to go to a mall, a place where many other people went, to see what other's did to 'lighten up.' Only she'd been distracted.
It was a Chinese dress, light blue, only a few shades darker than her hair, with gold trimming. And Rei, who had been feeling horribly out of place in a school uniform, wanted that dress.
She wasn't used to feeling desire for anything... she'd almost convinced herself that she should just go back to observing, when another thought struck her.
She'd been feeling dissatisfied with her appearance when she'd gotten up. She'd put that out of her mind... but it was still there. And she had noticed other things.
No one wore school uniforms all the time.
No one left their hair in a constant state of disarray.
At least, no one but Rei.
She'd wanted a change... she gave another covetous glance at the dress... and that would certainly be a change... but...
Rei finally shook her head. No one else was wearing that kind of dress, either. She'd need to get a better understanding of such things before she tried to 'fit in.'
With a heavy sigh, Rei continued to walk around the mall, now too distracted to really bother observing other people.

Rei was... getting worried.
She had yet to locate any of the others who had been playing the night before. She tried to stop and think, but the negative emotions from her other selves wasn't helping things. With every passing moment, she was getting more and more concerned about the fates of the others. It didn't help that she'd only realized that she didn't know where Toji, Kensuke, or Hikari lived until after she'd left in search of them.
She was so distracted by her thoughts, that she almost passed Shinji and Asuka by.
"Rei?"
"Wondergirl?"
That brought Rei out of her funk, seeing her fellow EVA pilots in front of her. They were safe, after all!
Shinji and Asuka, who had been, in fact, trying to find Rei themselves, were shocked. They finally found her, looking... depressed! Then, she suddenly smiled... smiled!... at them, and then rushed over and hugged them!
"Urk!" Asuka said, elegantly as she found an enthusiastic Rei hugging her. "I... think she's gone nuts, Shinji!"
Shinji just blinked, still trying to recover himself from Rei's uncharacteristic actions. "Are you... all right Rei?"
Rei stiffened, and let go of Asuka. "I... I'm sorry. I do not really understand all that has happened to me." She gave a short bow to the others. "Forgive me."
They blinked, the feeling of unreality growing stronger. Asuka shook her head, mumbling, "Es ist ein miricle..., das sie fast... mensch ist!"
Shinji replied directly, "It's... okay, Rei. We were looking for you. I take it, you've noticed the changes, too?"
Rei nodded. "I am currently here, in school, and at the mall. It is... an unique experience."
"I'm sure..." Asuka said, still amazed at the changes in the girl.
"Do you know where the others live? I'm afraid I do not..." Rei asked.
"Umm... sure. Hikari doesn't live too far away..." Asuka replied, and began leading the way.
As they walked, Rei decided to broach a subject. "Asuka... I would like to try a new look, but don't know what I should do... could you help?"
