Statue of Miao Nyan Mew : Home Stays [Episode 68900]

Its nest was at just the right temperature and properly snug, without being crushing. That was also the defense of the place, and made certain to keep unwanted elements away from it. The placement also helped by keeping it in a place that would leave it undisturbed by any interference. As such it was the perfect place to rest and generate the enegry needed for any number of things.

All of which meant that Sandelphon was snug as a bug in a rug, and only about to get up when it was good and ready. It rumbled and kept tightly to itself as it sat in the volcano, waiting for the moment when it had to come out. Then it would have to come out and do its job, which it was certain to.

But as it lay there, it peeked outside and wondered if getting up would be really neccessary. There was already enough mayhem going on around there as it was. Adding to it might not even be noticed.

So it snuggled in deeper and wondered what was the point of getting up if the populace was already nuts.

Most of those who knew of Gendo Ikari did not think that he had an apartment. That was not because they believed it totally impossible, but the fact of the matter was that he seemed to be always there. He was always there before the first employee got there, and was there after the last one left. No one really saw him leave the place, save for a few, and he never seemed to sleep, bathe or eat, not that he seemed to.

It was scary when one thought about it, and not many did. Such considerations were not things engineered to make his underling's minds be at easy. If one thought about it too much, they might realise just how much like a dark wraith he really was. He lived and breathed the job to the point that if he left, it was immediately noticed.

However, he did have an apartment of his own. He had to have one, though his was more of a need of an adress and a place to stay than anything else. The decor was spartan, modern, and in shades of black, grey, and blood red. That made it another good place to brood, plan and come up with other ways to drive others insane. While he'd much rather stay in his simple quarters at NERV, but then he would have problems getting his magazine subscriptions and such.

Which apparently was now including 'Meglomaniac Monthly', if the issue that he found in his mail was accurate. That made him suspicious, but he still went inside, looking for a port in a storm of insanity.

Unfortuantely for him, as soon as he entered, he discovered that he know had orange plaster on his living room walls. Added to that was the distressed furniture and the place looked like it belonged in an Italian villa. His kitchen looked like it came out of Kansas. The bathroom was in shades of beige and white. His bedroom seemed to be the set of an 'Arabian Nights' movie. And he had no wish to have his study be something out of a Medieval court.

On a hunch, he looked outside, and frowned as he saw a strange black cat with big green eyes pass by. Once it made its way from one end to the other, it hopped off and a whole series of felines hopped on. For some reason it felt like they were all looking at him, but he determined that was impossible. But they were slinking with an almost rhythm, and then they started 'speaking'.

"Nya nya nya nya, nya nya nya nya, mew mew mew, mee-ow!"

'Why do I feel like I've been taunted?' he thought curiously, while:
