Since the Deck of Many Things Nabiki used had been stashed in a drow grimoire for a good chunk of time, it was no wonder its magic would be somewhat 'warped' toward effects relating to the dark elves.

Nabiki didn't have a mirror handy so she couldn't see that she had been physically changed into a female drow elf. Her brown hair was now silver and her eyes had paled until they became a light shade of pink. Her skin darkened to take the color of polished obsidian and her body changed to better suit her new nature: Frailer but more graceful, smart and beautiful at the same time. She also lost a bit of bust size but was now beyond such petty reasoning.
She was also a paladin, something totally unheard of for the drow race on Toril as they all tended toward chaos as a rule (Eilistraee's worshippers included). But it WAS technically possible...
What was really weird (even bordering on the unnatural) was that she was a paladin of Lathander the Morninglord, Faerun's sun god. The drow lived in darkness as the light of day was painful to them. To find one of them worship a god representing what they normally hate... If Nabiki ever went to Faerun and met other drows, they would surely treat her as an abomination to be killed on sight.
Nabiki's thoughts right now were more along how to get some decent weapons and armor. It was her sacred duty to protect her sisters from the spider-kissers' reprisals. Drow returning to the side of Good hurt Lolth more than just killing her worshippers. Lathanderites believed in better tomorrows where all intelligent races would live in peace and harmony with each other, drow included.
Oh, and she would have a serious discussion with her father about Happosai's continued presence in their home. She may have ignored him before for the most part but if she was able to sense him with her Detect Evil ability, the old pervert was certainly a worse threat than she thought.
But all this would have to wait for the effect of the third card to take place:
