It was a thing of mortals after all, and unless Lolth tried getting involved personally - not something they could or should deal with themselves.
Nabiki slipped on her sunglasses and considered that she ought to look into the same for Sanri and Unri. A lot of Japanese didn't wear sunglasses even when they should - as it might make them look Yakuza - but obviously with drow it would be necessary unless they went completely nocturnal.
Which had merit. With their darkvision it was a distinct advantage.
Nabiki also considered how to do this. As a Japanese, drow elf, paladin - some aspects of the paladin schtick did not make any sense whatsoever. While a longsword would feel natural in her hands, some other weapon would likely be best considering that she was Japanese and in modern times. Likewise a paladin's warhorse would not fit her current scenario very well.
Not wanting the deck to choose, as there was a 50/50 chance of something bad when she was choosing and the odds worse than that if the deck chose - Nabiki chose her final card and raised an elegant white eyebrow at the selection. She would never again be able to benefit - or be harmed - by this particular deck.
BALANCE - had changed her ethic/philosophical leaning.
PHOENIX - had altered race and professional orientation.
Now the KEY and a flare of magic indicated that her holy weapon was arriving. A good thing too. There would be a need for such in the battles ahead.
Nabiki's other eyebrow raised as she observed her holy weapon, one that she knew would feel most welcome in her hands whether it was assisting those Sailor Senshi or in defending those drow who were intent on escaping their previous life. She didn't know why it was appropriate that the weapon of a transformed human rogue turned drow paladin should be this, only that it did seem somehow strangely appropriate that she'd be wielding a:
