Ranma clenched his fist and slammed the Soul of Ice down to keep his control. It mostly worked, however, Ranma had not considered his still 'rusty' control, nor the level of anger clutching at his heart.
The air dropped into levels near those of a Unicorn winter, and the swirling wind about him began to form into a minature blizzard.
"What witchery is this?!" Kisada demanded as Kimura gasped and stepped away. Kyoko gasped and successfully fought down her own desire to run, trusting Ranma would not threaten her. Ranma noticed the reactions however and cursed his lack of control.
He concentrated on soothing his temper and hence letting the Soul of Ice fade to a more normal level. The damage was done, however, explanations would need to be forth coming.
"No witchcraft," Ranma said. "Just my chi. It's called the Soul of Ice, it helps you keep your emotions under control, and other stuff, but if your a little rusty and way too pissed, then it gets a little out of control."
"What nonsense is that?" Kisada demanded. He whirled on the Scorpion. "What have led my son into, Scorpion?!"
Kyoko shook her head even as the large man advanced on her, pulled back a fist and swung, only to have it stopped cold by Ranma, who didn't even appear to be straining against his much larger father.
"Can't you see she's as terrified as..." Ranma didn't finish the comment, but gently forced his father back. He turned to the healer. "Am I casting spells? Am I tainted?"
"N..no, it is quite like the Togashi tattoed monks, but," Kimura said. "So much more powerful."
