Ranma's Furry Friend: The Swarm [Episode 70790]

by Onion Slime (^_^)

"Suggestion from Toltirr. He gave us the idea after all," Artemis replied, the drink showing its effectiveness in dulling the mental processes of the goddess.

"Huh? Me?" Toltirr asked, a tad surprised. "Well, hm. Let me think. Anything that's not a cat, right?" Artemis nods.

"Ok, I know just the thing." The two feline allied deities exchanged glances. Sadly, the goddess of the hunt failed to see them and agreeded. ***

Ranma Saotome was no coward.

This was as much a truth as the sun was bright or water wet. No, no man could call Saotome Ranma a coward.

Leery? yes.

Paranoid? Probably.

But one must ask oneself how they would react in a similar situation. Having just made landfall on the hallowed ground known as Japan, the young man's father had been taken from him on the wings of a monstrosity, an abomination, that would have frozen the blood of lesser men. But Saotome Ranma was not a lesser man. Oh, no. He was fit. He was lean. He was...

"Outta my freakin mind, coming here."

Ok, perhaps just a tad afraid.

His journey had led him to the former capital of Japan, Tokyo. Standing atop the tower which bore the same name as the city, the young man's gaze followed the long line of the same creatures that had ambushed his drunken father. Iridescent wings cast the sunlight into rainbows. Chitin plates covered their legs chests, and shoulders. Antennae protruded from their foreheads, the multicolored limbs matching the various hair colors the creatures came in.

The worst thing though, Ranma thought, was that for all that they still appeared almost human. The newsmen had dubbed them 'Bee-girls', but Ranma had been on the road long enough to know they were more like wasps. The abdomen was a dead give away for anyone who cared to look.

The bee-girls formed a double line out of the massive hive centered in Nerima ward. No one was quite sure where they came from, but they're takeover of Tokyo was quick and decisive. None knew what it was that the Bee-girls did with the men they kidnapped, nor did they understand why it was just men. But it certainly had to be something sinister. Of this they were certain.

"Pops, I'm comming!" Ranma launched himself off the edifice and toward his destiny!

***

"What... the... HECK?" Artemis screamed, staring at the viewing screen.

"Its a viewing screen," Toltirr drawled. "Got rid of the viewing pool. Too many accidents. Plus, I can now say I'm L337! Gotta keep in modern and hip with my bad self, yo!" Around the viewing screen several inebriated cybornetic gods cheered.

"Oh, right," Artemis muttered. "But why Wasp-girls?" Toltirr shrugged.
