The gaudy presentation by that near Kuno-esque fool Kotaro Nanbara almost turned him away. The more interesting, if less comfortable, Kazuya Saotome and his energetic little squid bot, not to mention the prototype 'Cyberdoll' maid Ichigo, changed his mind.
Besides that this Kazuya Saotome seemed familiar to him. 'Was he a relative?' If so Ranma felt a duty to support him. His technology was interesting and unlike GENOM this company, Cyberdyne, had a friendly feel to it.
Ranma spotted Kazuya with several very attractive young women and that fool Nanbara in the aftermath of the presentation. He decided to talk to him. Walking over to the group Ranma started the conversation.
" Nice presentation, your explanation of the technology was most interesting." Ranma said facing Kazuya, completely ignoring the now fuming Kotaro Nanbara!
" Thank you very much,..ah?" Kazuya scratched the back of his head embaressed by the praise.
" Oh, I'm Ranma Saotome, sorry 'bout this." some things never change!
At that Nanbara freaked while the ladies looked him over carefully, esspecially the cute brunette in the baseball jersey and denim skirt! Kazuya wore a thoughtful expression.
" Ranma. Ranma? As in Uncle Genma and Auntie Nodokas' son?" asked Kazuya his voice going from curious to excited.
" So ya are a relative! I thought you seemed familiar."
" Ha! I bet you just invested 'cause he's your cousin!" sniped Nanbara wearing a sneer as he pointed at Ranma.
" Yep! You now what they say.." Ranma said flipantly.
" A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush?" chimed Mami, a blonde woman in a yellow kimono that did nothing to hide her...assets.
" Npoe! Spread your love around the world but keep your money in the family!"
Ranmas' confident smirk and Mami actually flubbing a quote without adding referrence to 'hotaru squid' resulted in a torrent of laughter from the group ( minus Nanbara who was muttering about annoying Saotomes)>
Ranma, Kazuya and company talked for a while longer before Kazuya and co. had to leave. Ranma for once met a relative he liked that wasn't nuts. Furthermore his lady friends, barring Kasumis' appreciative stares, weren't interested in him and were nice to him. Definately afuture worth backing!!
