After about an hour's travel she felt less mortified.
After two hours she was actually getting bored. Also cold. Still very unhappy though - that part hadn't changed.
When the helicopter began descending to a smouldering volcano, she was thinking virgin sacrifices and the like.
Then the top of the volcano pivoted and she realized that this entire island was in fact a mobile fortress of some kind.
She started struggling as they passed over a huge water purification plant and abruptly realized something very very important.
That the rope wasn't that strong. She couldn't swim.
Snap! "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" THWAM!
Akane congratulated herself for twisting enough to land on the concrete. Now if she could just move.
Asuka shifted gears automatically, blowing past the little sissy bikes that seemed to be the main competition around here.
Ranma merely hung on as the speed was somewhat faster than he was expecting.
When the motorcycle finally came to a stop in front of the dojo, Ranma knew something was wrong.
New hole in the roof. Fathers lugging a chunk of ice off somewhere. Tatewaki Kuno laughing maniacally about an impending triumph. Kasumi wandering around in a little daze. Last time he checked it wasn't Saturday, so for this to happen during the week...
"Hmmmm," hmmmed Ranma.
