Despite his self assurance, the sight of his beloved Yui returned was not exactly giving him the joy that he had expected.
Sanjiro was so shocked that he spoke in a tone that said he wasn't. "Would someone like to explain why there's a giant adult version of the First Child with cat ears and a tail standing there wearing a mix of plate and chainmail armor where Unit 01 was a minute ago?"
"You got me..," muttered Nijiro.
"It's like it was Unit 01," suggested Ichiro.
The three replacement bridge crew looked at each other and chuckled nervously.
Cracking her knuckles on the screen, the giant Yui leaned in close to the video pick up and scowled. "You'd better have a good explination for what you've been doing for the past decade Gendo..." Trying not to seem like they were looking, the three bridge officers looked to their commander, who they could almost swear was sweating.
As the group walked away from the area where Rei's apartment was located, Shinji stopped and frowned.
Asuka looked at him in concern. "Is something wrong?"
"Not really," the newly buff Third Child replied.
"Then what is it?"
"For some strange reason, I'm feeling happy and warm..."
"Not in that clothing..."
He picked at the shirt that was open over his chest and sighed. "My stuff's a bit small now..."
"Which I like a lot."
"You do?"
"Uh-HUH," she said with a grin, and licked her lips, "Mee-ow..."
He just chuckled nervously.
"Now how do you get out of this silly place..," the knight Yui muttered.
Gendo twitched as he watched the sight of his wife examining the room around her, poking at every little thing, while:
