A figure stood across from the Dennys and watched carefully as its targets came together. They were confused, weak and vulnerable. Now was the perfect time to strike.
If the average person looked to the figure they would have seen nothing but an individual of such starved demeanor and deathly pallor that determining gender was difficult if not impossible. But that was just the Shadow, behind which was shadow of a different sort.
The figure twisted its mouth in what could have been a smile as it turned to the side.
"Kill them all," a thin raspy voice commanded. "No mistakes."
