The eldest Tendo nodded. "Yes?"
"I just wanted to answer your question from earlier?"
"You mean, 'Are you a fiancee?'"
"That is the one."
"Are you?"
"Why yes, I am engaged to Ranma and this was a lovely tea, was this a Yamamotoyama blend?"
Everything stopped for a moment, but the silence was broken by one thing. "Yes, it was," said Kasumi cheerfully.
"I knew it!" declared Akane, "You couldn't just have one Amazon hussy, you went and got another!"
"Miss Tendo, I am neither an Amazon, nor am I a hussy," Setsuna said, "Nor did Ranma go looking for me."
Nabiki raised an eyebrow at the obviously classy woman sitting at the table. "Then how then he get engaged to you, hmm..?"
"The usual way that it seems to happen. His father."
"Saotome!" barked Soun.
There was a splash of water and then a panda started playing with a tire. A sign was raised saying [I don't know this woman.] *FLIP!* [I'm just a cute little panda.]
Setsuna raised an eyebrow. "You don't remember that bar in Yokohama. The one where, eight years ago, you were in need of some money to pay off some... business men for some certain debts you had incurred?"
"Pops sold me off to pay for his gambling debts?" asked Ranma.
"He would have sold you to them, intending to steal you back. But he met my guardian and in exchange for an amount of yen, his son and I were engaged." There was, of course, no reason to tell them exactly who 'her guardian' really was.
"Ranma must marry my daughter!" declared Soun as Genma growfed in agreement.
"But did you get the agreement in writing?" Setsuna said pulling out a thick envelope.
"Saotome! How could you?!"
Smiling slightly behind her tea cup, Setsuna:
