Moon Prince: Getting on the bad side of Time [Episode 9063]

by Kestral

Setsuna "accidently" left a copy of the expurgated version of "The Life Of Ranma" out, though it had been reworked slightly to look like the findings had been from a private detective and not someone using the Gate Of Time.

It had names, dates, places. It had training methods, starvation, torture. It had a few photos, a few police records, a few psych profiles.

She'd hardly exaggerated a thing.

How the rest of the household would react would tell her a lot. Should these people be judged with the same brush as Genma Saotome? Were they dupes? Idiots? Simply comfortable in ignorance?

She let the copy of the contract be taken and gone over by Nabiki. Though she had to get out another copy after the first one was shredded by Soun Tendo.

"...party of the first part, one Setsuna Meiou, engagement to the party of the second part, one Ranma Saotome..." muttered Nabiki as she read from the contract and the other hand seemingly of its own accord grabbed the official looking manila folder marked with Ranma's name.

Setsuna let herself get drawn into a pleasant conversation regarding tea, and telling Kasumi about this delightful blend she'd found in Nara. Ignoring the yelling and only meeting Ranma's eyes once.

As for the panda making rude gestures with signs, well, there were reasons beyond her "dead scream" attack that you did not get on the bad side of the Senshi of Time.

"He did what?!" Rei said as she stared at the copy of the "Life Of Ranma".

Usagi merely covered her ears and wept.

"Genma Saotome needs to die," suggested Artemis.

"STOP!" Luna yelled. "We can't go around killing people just because-"

"Look how many cats died during the Catfist training, Luna. Look at this. He used to love kitties when he was a child," Artemis sniffled. "Now..."

"You realize that as the Heir To The Moon Kingdom, he'll probably outlaw cats, he wouldn't have any choice," pointed out Rei.

Luna considered that. "We still can't kill Ran's father. Let's just rescue Prince Ran!"

"That'll work," said Minako thoughtfully. "We may have to severely hurt this Genma in order to rescue Ran though."

"I can live with that," said Artemis.

Haruka and Michiru were tough. They were strong. They were dedicated warriors who believed that sacrificing a few to save many was a viable tactic. They were dedicated to their future utopia and somewhat ruthless at odd times about the steps needed to get there.

After reading the report, they were currently checking out every Tendo Dojo in Juuban and working their way outward.

"And here at K-ROK Tokyo 97, we have yet another request for 'Pandas Must Die'. World Wildlife Association must be in town."

Doctor Mizuno read through some old medical files that someone had left on her desk. Funny, she'd forgotten about that boy who'd been mauled by the cats.

Yes, there was his...

Doctor Mizuno put down her coffee cup as she read the police report and connected the dots. It had been deliberate? Ranma was where now?

At a couple of police stations, a file from a "concerned citizen" slowly made its way through the rank and file.

The letter, such as it was, was quite simple:

To Whom It May Concern:

It has come to my attention that a portly individual named Genma Saotome, his martial arts master Happosai, and another student of the same art named Soun Tendo have caused you some losses in the past. (See enclosed photos.)

As someone else who has been wronged by the above named individuals, I am offering their current whereabouts and likenesses. In the interest of justice, and the possibility of reclaiming those losses, you will find the current map leading to their current location: the Tendo School Of Anything Goes Indiscriminate Grappling in the Furinkan ward of Nerima in Tokyo.

It is my sincere hope that all those whose lives were disrupted by these three and have suffered loss due to their actions, will be able to reclaim those losses. Especially with the rumored "eight treasures" that Happosai took his name from being in the possession of one or more of these individuals.

Though even the Tendo daughters do not know of the location of this treasure, therefore it is probably not in the house. My own suspicions are that it is buried under the dojo, based on the importance that all three place on that building.

Sincerely,

A Friend

Setsuna smiled as she realized that right at this very moment, in over a dozen dojos, restaurants, ladies clothing stores, the Chinese Amazon village Elders Council, and many other locations. Letters were being read. Records consulted. Memories wracked. And journeys were being planned.

Setsuna really wanted to find out if the three daughters should be warned before it all came, but she planned on grabbing Ranma and heading to the Gates Of Time if nothing else worked.

No. You did not want to mess with the Guardian Of Time.
