But that didn't matter. She knew that she had to prevent any deviation from the future that she had been working so hard to preserve. Once she got rid of this one, time would move and the timeline would move so that they would never have even known this boy, never mind caring about him.
So before she could be stopped, she twirled around and took a quick aim, ready to fire once she had a shot. That moment came quickly, and she took it without hesitation. "dead... SCREAM!"
The only problem was that a girl got in the way, which meant that she took the hit. Which was unfortunate, but she would worry about that later, as that meant that she would have to still get her targer.
But when the dust cleared, the girl was still standing there, looking perfectly unharmed. "Technique acquired."
Something told the Senshi of Time that those words meant something very bad had just happened.
"What's going on?!" asked the boy, as Saturn stepped over to him, "Who did that to Ifurita?!"
"We're really sorry about this Makoto-san, but our friend wants to hurt you," the Senshi of Silence answered.
Mizuhara blinked in surprise. "She wants to hurt me?"
"Yes, but we won't let her."
"That's good..."
"No, it's not!" Pluto declared, "You don't understand! Unless he's killed here and now, the timeline will shift!"
A subtle scowl hit the lips of the girl who'd taken her strike, and she floated over to the Time Senshi, producing a staff that she pointed menacingly at her. "I will not allow you to harm Makoto."
Grinding her teeth, Pluto knew that she was in a bind, but was also certain that she had no other choice than to deal with the threat that no one else could see. Luckily, the movement had taken the girl away from the boy, and made it so that there was just enough distance to prevent her from getting there in time. "DEAD SCREAM!"
However, Saturn was right there. "Silence Wall."
Upon hearing an explosion, Makoto Mizuhara had winced, prepared for the end. But when nothing happened, he looked and saw a glowing barrier between him and the woman who'd just tried to blow him up. "Huh?"
"Setsuna?" Moon said in a voice tinged with steel, "We really need to have that talk."
"I told you," Pluto replied, "I have to make certain that the future is safe!"
"By killing off anybody my friends might like? I don't think so."
Around the reincarnated princess, the other Inner Senshi nodded and made sounds of agreement while:
