But as she walked along with the odd set of clothing on the street as if someone had merely fallen out of them, she was glad that she had three individuals capable of fighing anything that might try to attack them.
Which wasn't to say, that she wasn't tired and hungry, but that it seemed to be a good idea to stick together at the moment.
Not that she wasn't about to complain about it, especially as they had already hit the outskirts of the ward. "You mind easing up the pace? My feet are sore and I haven't had a bite in a while."
"But we have to get home before that new girl sinks her claws into your sister's fiance," her father told her.
"Excuse me, but how do you plan on managing that trick? If you hadn't noticed, there doesn't seem to be anyone around to hurry to."
Akane looked to where a girl's school uniform lay half off a sidewalk and shivered. "You can say that again..."
"Exactly. Why are we in such a hurry anyway?"
[To keep my son from making more mistakes, that's why,] Genma-panda's sign told her.
The middle Tendo daughter sighed. "That won't work. Besides, what could stopping for something to eat or drink hurt."
"Well... Actually that sounds like a good idea."
"It would to you..."
[Hmm... What's that?]
"Nothing... But just one problem. Where are we going to get something to eat?"
[Why, there are plenty of stores where we could take something tasty. It's not like anyone's showing up to stop us.]
"You know... It might be good if we stock up on supplies..," Akane commented. It was after all what had to be done when the guys in the movies did it. But they always had parties and pranced around when everyone else vanished, which was when the evil monsters came out to feast on her flesh. That wasn't going to happen to her though. No siree...
"You know... That's a good idea..," Nabiki allowed.
"Good," Soun told her, and looked to his old friend. "You know what that would mean."
"Growf," went Genma-panda as he held up a sign. [Sake and sushi!]
Groaning at the sight of the two men nearly skipping off, Nabiki covered her face with one hand. "It's very sad when the two so called-'children', are more responsible and intelligent than their father."
"I know what you mean..," her sister agreed with a sigh, "But you know what?"
"What?"
"I'll make sure that nothing gets to us."
The elder girl looked around at the sight of the completely still streets and decided to be nice to her sister. "You do that."
"I will."
"That's great," Nabiki replied and fought not to roll her eyes while:
