Which meant that he was going to have to get out of his bedroll and wake his lazy son up. He might not need to get up to get all the training that he could in, but his son did, and that meant that he would have to make the sacrifice of getting up.
Not that he wanted to, of course.
So he groggily got up and put his hand on his pack accidentally as he groped around for some purchase on the hard surface. The crinkling of paper confused him however, and he woke enough to look at the pamphlet he'd found stuffed into a pocket of his pack. Pulling it out, he read over it, idly wondering where it had come from.
Yet as he read, he grew more and more excited, as he saw on that page something that peaked his intrest.
It was about a school in which the students had many kinds of fights breaking out, and were all sorts of kids. Which was perfect for Ranma to get into challenges and learn how to deal with all sorts of opponents.
And best of all, he would only have to work on the boy's skills outside of school hours!
"BOY! Wake up!" he bellowed, launching himself from his bedroll.
Ranma's eyes cracked open as he sat up. "Is it time to train?"
"No! It's time to go to school!"
"Huh? 'School'?"
"I have decided that it will be for the best for you to go to this school I have just picked out."
"Do I haveta..."
"You do. And you'll go so that you can learn all about the really important things!"
"What? Like math or history?"
"Of course not. Now come and get ready. We'll have to enroll you right away."
From her position behind a tree, Setsuna grinned madly. She might not have access to the Gate, but she still had her ability to sneak. And she'd put it to good use as she placed the pamphlet in the elder Saotome's backpack. Now the fool would place his son in the school, and he'd get into fights that he wouldn't be ready for. When a sufficently strong enough fighter would come along, he would be gone for sure then!
She rubbed her palms together as she imagined the sight of that boy finally out of her hair while:
