Rifted Ranma: the rogue Splugorth [Episode 94470]

by Kestral

Ranma shrank back a little at the mental images that occurred with the mention of the Splugorth, but he felt the divine was too uncertain. Full bionic conversion wouldn't allow him to use chi attacks according to Phantom Lady's telepathic projections. Splugorth on the other hand while it would likely look monstrous - were biological additions.

"splugorth-" said Ranma, and slipped into a dreamless sleep.

Moving as little as it could from the slime pit, the Splugorth known as Sk'llkrft noisily chomped on a larvae with a feeder-mouth while his eyestalks and manipulative tentacles busied themselves. "How very interesting. Yes, this is."

"So," said Afrom. "Is it possible?"

A partly mechanical floating eye bobbed in front of him. "Oh yes. Much material for research here. Are you sure you don't want to simply sell heshe to me? No? Well, can't blame an Alien Intelligence for trying. Hmmm hmmm hmmmm. VERY interesting."

"We thought you might find the hume intriguing, but honor concerns you know," said Afrom, knowing that in common ground were less conflicts.

"Yes yes yes, honor. Must honor business dealings, this I well know." Sk'llkrft tittered, an odd sound coming from several speaking-mouths at once. "Do this I can. Yes. Much data accumulate will I. Leave overnight."

"That much data from his water curse?" asked Afrom, curious.

"More than that, much more than that," said Sk'llkrft. "Unknowing of this were you?"

"Well, I didn't want to bother you with anything trivial," said Afrom, not wanting to concede ignorance.

"Hah. Good one is," Sk'llkrft said with another titter. "Many problems this one. Many scars, inside and out they are. Simple water curse trigger transformation, other curse seek trigger when most problem to victim, many more. Spirit of cat entwined with hume as well. Recent memories, recent life - much pain much suffering much difficulty. Seeds of vengeance planted. All very much interest."

"So you will fix what you can? Not to make the end result too inhuman? He has to be able to fit into armor and use a normal vehicle, after all." Afrom was hoping this would keep the Splugorth from getting too creative and adding insect limbs or something.

"Yes, yes. Sure am I." Sk'llkrft then ignored the priest. Hardly anything interesting there at all. Wolfen whose family was originally from the Lost Kingdoms, brought here by a rift, raised in the New West and then ending up here - where he was a priest/mage for a god of justice. Pfeh. Nothing new. THIS hume on the other hand.

The rogue Splugorth scientist/magi considered the badly damaged hume. What to do with him/her while the scans continued. Replacement of that arm and those legs, alter supporting structures, replace the eye and some of the ear structure on that side. Skin was easy though the curse made it all a bit more interesting.

This ought to work.
