The search and recovery of Ranma had never ceased to be their foremost concern. For the most part, they tended to work on ways of getting to the boy who had shown them such kindness when they had first awakened. It was something that had become a part of themselves, and they were following it despite whatever hurdles might occur, including the various attempts by Beryl Wiley to succeed at her own plans.

In fact, her assaults on them had helped in a way, as they had learned from those attacks and had grown from them. They now knew strategy and teamwork in a fight, and knew how to battle in their own unique ways. That could be applied to many things, and they were not about to toss any help by the wayside.

So they went out and did what they could in the timeframe that they had it.

Plans for various devices and programs were churned out as quickly as they could be come about so that they could.

Various strategies for rescuing their friend were discussed and refined.

And they managed to get remote access to a computer with access to the internet, which they used for information gathering. Anything and everything that they could find on Ranma Saotome, they went after. Family histories, bank records, police reports, school files, newspaper articles... It didn't matter whatever it was, if it had any relation to their friend in some way, they went after it.

And it was bearind fruit in ways that the humans watching them were left excited and happy.

Which included programs that might just gain sentience because of the current group of AIs...
