Ranma frowned in thought for a minute before realising what she meant and smiled. "Well, since you seemed to be having so much trouble, I thought that I would make you a gift. A robot dog to be a friend and protector, to be specific."
"You did?!"
"Yes, but I can't give him to you right now."
"Why not?"
"Because your friend here shot at me as soon as she arrived, and your present leapt in the way of her attack. As it is, I'm going to have to check it out and repair any damage she might have caused."
Under the force of several dark looks coming from the other Senshi, Pluto winced, though she tried to buoy her confidence by the certainty that by the way things should be, Saturn wasn't supposed to have anything like that.
The Senshi of Silence looked like someone who could destroy the planet at that moment and more like a young girl who would have loved to have a pet, only to lose that opportunity though.
As a result, the censuring look that the Princess sent her way was even harder to take.
"Don't worry," Jupiter tried to console Saturn, "I'm sure that you can still get a pet..."
"Of course she can," Ranma inserted calmly.
"I can?!" Saturn said with growing hope.
"You were anyway. Your new friend wasn't destroyed, and since I can fix him, you'll get him when I'm done. It'll just be a bit longer than it would have been."
"Oh thank you!"
"No problem. It should give me a chance to do some upgrades, if I can come up with any. I'll be back to working on your help soon enough."
Mars raised a brow. "'Help'?"
"Yes," the scientist and doctor replied as he tapped a couple of keys on a nearby board. A large display showed what looked like plans for some sort of robots, though for most of them it was too complicated to understand completely. "I'm working on these to assist you guys in your fights against the bad guys."
"Amazing..," Mercury breated as she peered at the images before her. "These are light years beyond anything I've ever seen... I can't understand it all, but these look to be rather powerful."
"They will be. I'm designing them so that they can provide support roles as well as assisting you in the fighting. Each will be a finely tuned machine superhero."
"They will?" Moon chirped, "Then we won't have to fight it all alone?"
"Exactly. This way, you'll have more of an option to deal with any enemies that crop up."
"It would be great not to get beat up by the bad guys..."
Jupiter nodded with a smirk. "And getting to blow away those monsters would be so much better."
"Plus, if we had assistance, I wouldn't have to be rushing all the time and it would allow me more time to study without having to worry about if I'm letting down my friends..," Mercury murmured.
"'Study'? Hah! It'll mean having more time to look for boys," Venus commented, sending Pluto a sour look, "And I wouldn't have to explain to anyone why I've got bruises or anything..."
"Help would be nice..."
Pluto stared at the screen before looking over the younger Senshi. They didn't see that this was exactly what she had been warning them about. It was supposed to be only them that could face what would come, and they were the only ones that could take the steps to create that bastion of peace and unity that was Crystal Tokyo. This was insane, this was out of whack, and this was...
...Being happily looked upon by the Princess?
"Ooohh... Are they like the ones on television?" Moon asked as she gazed intently at the screen.
"As a matter of fact," Ranma said calmly, "They are going to be:
