SDF-1 Macross:
December 4th, 2009
Deadly alien power armor buzzed around the Macross in a game of death, dueling with Skull and Vermilion Valkyries with Commander Roy Fokker leading them.
Captain Henry Gloval was angry, though he didn’t show it. His ship was chased around the solar system for nearly a year under constant attack from an alien race that until only a few weeks ago they couldn’t name. Now only to return home and to be given a cold shoulder; their own forces refused to help them!
Now the SDF-1 was here on Earth, their backs against the wall, nowhere to run, and all alone. “CAPTAIN! Orbital tracking now shows thirty-four new contacts defolding, above us altitude five hundred kilometers!”
Quickly Gloval was behind Vanessa over her shoulder. Thirty-three of the contacts the computer couldn’t identify except one. It was clearly a Zentraedi Super Dimensional Fortress!
“Reinforcements, we should be flattered,” Gloval growled, his Russian accent thicker than usual.
The screen showed a group of smaller contacts, breaking away from the Zentraedi SDF and entering the Earth’s atmosphere, heading for their position.
“Can you tell what type they are?”
“No Captain they entered the atmosphere, and we lost contact. We won’t be able to reacquire until they complete reentry,” Lisa said from her station.
“Captain. The Zentraedi fleet is moving. I think they’re going to engage the new contacts.”
“What the devil is going on up there?!”
“Captain we have reacquisition of contact with inbound boogies.” Lisa checked her screen and checked it again. “SIR, we’re receiving an IFF code acknowledgement from inbound fighters!!”
“What!?”
“Radar confirms. They’re signaling us.”
“SDF-1, this is Admiral Rick Hunter in Diamondback one, do you require assistance?”
