About the only mystery that she could come up with as she started to explain what had happened with Ranma was just how Genma thought that he could get away with this.
Oh, she rather doubted that he was aware that his son was married, and happily at that, but then he had to be aware that there was a girl out there who was rather protective of his son. Considering the fact that he'd come across her before, that should have been obvious. Then again, the man wasn't exactly the brightest bulb in the set, as he was only crafty enough to get what he immediately wanted. A lot of the time, he just ignored the long term results of what he was doing, which had screwed things up ever so much for his plans.
Stifling a sigh, she took a moment to admit to herself that she was glad that there was no chance that she'd get together with Ranma. As much as she liked the big lug, the idea of being related to Genma Saotome was a bit much to stomach. If nothing else, the man's apparent lack of forethought made it impossible to respect him, never mind trust him.
Not that she was about to admit that to the person on the phone. Her friend was in love with Ranma, and was clearly happy to be with him. That was a good thing in the Tendo girl's eyes, and despite her own cynicism about the subject, she welcomed the joy that the couple had found together.
Of course, that made it ever so much easier to get the girl in question riled up over the fathers' plan, especially since neither man had actually paid much mind to the fact that this was someone who had the skills of someone from the:
