Hmmph. Let's see if she could find the Senshi, for starters....
And that was the precise moment that the telepathic feedback from a few thousand or more of other versions of herself rammed her to the floor. Literally.
What a minute, this planet was Earth, right?
...Right?
...What. The. Hellll...?
**Timeline A
Setsuna sighed. All the Senshi that were supposed to have been there Before were still here - and they were even recognizable. Well, sort of. ...Mostly.
Though Jupiter - Setsuna wasn't sure her name was Kino Makoto, here - was fighting... what? Well, spurring, whatever.
Like hell that was a normal human being.
Though it wasn't a youma or equivalent, either - she could tell that much even from here.
And there were - just how the fuck could they be so many high-powered people -
...Just what kind of world was this, anyhow?
**Timeline B
...No Tsukino Usagi, period. At all.
This sucked majorly.
But on the other hand....
The reincarnation of the Princess... Did seem to exist. Someplace. At least according to the power readings.
And why did the damn scanners keep showing her that boy, anyhow? They kept circling and coming back to...
Setsuna stared.
The red-headed girl started screeching, wringing out his - hers - light futon.
And then she started fighting a panda.
Setsuna kept on staring.
**Timeline C
Gigantic... machines walked the planet. Or swam, or burrowed, or flew. Or occasionally simply took root where they were.
Made of metal and silicon on the most part, except for a small round-ish something that even her scanners were having trouble with.
And they radiated life energy. Even if it wasn't quite the same wavelengths that the flesh-and-blood types had, it really was quite obvious, if you knew what you you were looking at...and she did.
They were alive, which means they had souls, even if they probably weren't quite formatted the same ways as the souls as the non-machine sort, and...
And here were her scanners, circling and circling around one of those gigantic living mechs that was, strangely enough, shaped like some sort of big fighting cat...
**Timeline D
It was close to Earth, very close, and full of life, to boot.
But the differences were obvious, when she looked at things closely.
This Star System had no less then 3 planets with a functional ecosystem, just for starters. And spaceships, spaceships everywhere. Not to mention...
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, was those Mausians?
...No, nope, not quite. Too many legs, for one thing... But they were surely sapient, as far as she could tell. Which meant...
Oh, who the hell knew what it meant.
Setsuna groaned, sighed - and went back to scanning for Senshi. They did exist, she was sure of that...
**Timeline E
The Earth was still...Earth. More or less.
The Moon, on the other hand, was something else entirely.
Setsuna stared.
Whoever who had replaced the Moon with a honking gigantic planetoid of a Warship had not thought of the consequences of just getting rid of a major satellite of a planet, obviously.
The Earth's ecosystem needed the tidal pulls of the Moon, damnit! It couldn't depend on something that could just be pulled off orbit at a moments notice...
...Setsuna scrabbled for the painkillers. Damn. Damn.
She didn't even what to think of how things would be affected now. Especially for one "Sailor Moon" in particular...
**Timeline F
How very, very, strange...
It still seemed to be close enough to the Earth she remembered, at first glance, but all those spaceships and other species walking the streets...
...Hmmm. So what did they call themselves... the Federation?
**Timeline G
A very large stack of paperwork, which snored.
The dark-haired girl stared, sighed, and very carefully looked around it. Paperwork wasn't supposed to snore, after all.
...Ah, right. There was her commanding officer all right, judged from the uniform and shoes, anyhow. Though how he could actually sleep with all those papers cascading on his head...
"...Noin? What's going on?"
The girl almost jumped. The hell?
"- Stop the ninja act, Merquise. ...Shhhh."
The boy with the shades looked at what she was pointing at, and sighed.
"...Somebody appears to be losing the fight with the paperwork dragon, I see..."
"The worst of it is, half of it isn't even his paperwork."
The person in charge before he took over had been incompetent, too put in the most mildest terms.
The two looked at each other then, and sighed.
"You sort out this side, then?"
"Right."
"...Him?"
"Oh, let him sleep. He wouldn't, otherwise."
The girl looked at the sleeping man, and sighed again.
Sometimes she wished she was just a cadet again, and he was just their Instructor Treize.
Life had been simpler, then.
Setsuna watched, bemused. Hmmmmm?
**Timeline H
"Gotta catch them all, gotta catch them all, gotta catch them all so I'll be the best. Pokemon. Trainer. Of. Allll yay yay yay!"
Setsuna twitched. Just what where those creatures, anyway?
Not to mention the... boy...
**Timeline I
"So mama, Shinnosuke is - "
"Oh, just go, go, go."
"Boo."
The boy pouted, and drifted off sideways, wriggling his behind. His mother was obviously quite used to those antics, as she didn't even blink.
...Setsuna rubbed her eyes. Maybe she should get some sleep, now...
Meiou Setsuna, AKA Sailor Pluto, crawled up from the floor with much difficulty.
Gaaaaah. She usually had defenses in place vis the "telepathic overload from other versions of oneself" problem, but they weren't quite enough for this level of confusion and mayhem all around, obviously...
Apple pie. Apple and yam pie. Where was her apple and rum raisin cobbler when she needed it, damnit.
And she really had to figure out just what kind of world she was tethered to now, never mind all the other versions of herself for the moment...
