Raywing (Shamanastic Spell - Air Element)
Creates a spherical shield of wind element chakra around the caster. Speed, maximum altitude, weight carried, are all balanced by the skill of the caster. The spell also, due to being wrapped in wind-element, provides some measure of protection to the caster and anything carried by him/her.
Naruto knew the spell's limitations, Naruto was carrying a fair amount of weight but it wasn't more than he could normally carry. Most of his stuff was stored in scrolls.
He was flying roughly only two hundred feet over the tops of the trees, which themselves were typically less than a three hundred feet tall themselves. So, one could call it a height of five hundred feet though Naruto himself wasn't trying for a particular altitude.
No, what Naruto was paying attention to was his speed. What interested him was the interesting sensation of going very very fast. After leaving the walls of Konohagakure, he'd accelerated and accelerated further. Finally he settled into a level of speed that he felt comfortable with and just let the blur of trees below continue.
Once there was a river beneath him, he decided to follow that. On occasion he'd see a boat or something beneath him, but he'd already decided to see how far he could go before he had to stop.
"He was seen travelling due East at an altitude of roughly eight hundred feet. Speed, rough estimate of ninety miles per hour. He was spotted over the Village Of General Despair."
"Ugh. I've been there. We maintain spies in THAT place?"
"They supply a fair amount of pipeweed to the Land Of Fire, you'd be surprised what you can track from such things."
A map was pulled out. "At that rate of speed, he'll likely end up..."
Naruto looked at the sign and scratched his head. What to do? He was used to being alone, but he was finding himself wanting SOMEONE to talk to. Maybe because he was in such an unfamiliar place.
The "Cursed Statue Village" looked fairly old, somewhat rundown, but well-maintained.
