What Nodoka didn't know that Ranma's true father was a were like no other. He was of the rare were-demons, demons that changed forms. They had a human, hybrid and full demon mode, but were-demons are special because they have another form. Similar to the lunar rave traits, they can change into an advance hybrid stage, but unlike the lunar rave, this new form is accesible at all times. Also the fact is that the more that this form is used, the stronger it gets.
The more a were-demon fights in this form the more it get adapts and adjust from the battles even while in the heat of the fight. Had Happosai realized what Ranma was, he would have never allowed him to live because Ranma would have the potential to be a million times stronger then himself.
Another major difference from other weres is that were-demons had no weakness against silver or magic for they are the ultimate fighters and building a weakness was against there creator's unknown purpose. All a were-demon needs is a trigger, something so horrible that it forces the change for the first time because all were-demons are born with blocks to keep them from changing and the block could only be destroyed during the teen years. If not triggered the person would just pass down the trait to their kids and never change.
"Saotome!!! You shall pay, but first I shall enjoy killing your mother," Saffron said as he prepare to toss a huge fireball at his mother, who was too scared to move. Yep Saffron said the magic words. Ranma began to retort, when he suddenly broke out in laughter. It was a scary laugh that had everyone, even Saffron take a step back. Ranma laughed so loudly that it echoed across Nerima and he shifted to everyone's amazement and horror into...
