Wealthy Saotomes: The ripples continue [Episode 5457]

The Tendo family dealt with their loss of money better than their loss of mother would have been dealt with.

Nabiki came to the conclusion that her instincts were right and money was pretty important.

Kasumi decided that she needed to get out of the house and make more friends. After all, if father hadn't known that man, then her mother would have died!

Akane wondered if she'd ever stop wetting her futon.

A year later and another baby was on the way.

This would later become known locally as the Tendo Bunch because Soun's reaction to the near loss of his wife had the side effect of producing a child every year.

Oh, and one them might or might not end up marrying Ranma. Mrs Saotome hadn't ruled it out but she hadn't been happy when the subject had come up and she'd indicated Ranma was already engaged to that nice Ukyo girl.

Meanwhile, Genma's wish for wealth continued to have effects and repercussions.

Genma found less reason to accompany Ranma when doing so meant leaving the life of luxury. Oh, to be sure, he couldn't touch the money himself but he could eat all he wanted, sleep most of the day, go where he wanted and do what he pleased.

Unfortunately an assassin sliced into him pretty badly in 1982. While Genma survived, the damage to his leg pretty much assured him that he couldn't undertake long training journeys. While the Mendo family was suspected, nothing could be proven.

At this point six year old Ranma was sent to a private school away from potential assassins.
