However, that's not what this story is about just yet.
Maya Ibuki sighed as she walked down the line of stores on her way home from her shift. It had been a long day indeed, working on getting those sensors for Dr. Akagi, and she just wanted to get home and take a nice, hot shower.
Hopefully tomorrow won't be quite as hectic, Maya inwardly hoped. She then chuckled darkly to herself and shook her head. Yeah, right. And maybe Dr. Akagi will notice me... She sighed softly at that last thought. She loved her superior so much it drove her insane at times, but the doctor didn't seem to notice. Maya idly toyed with the idea of just walking up to Ritsuko and declaring her love in front of everyone on the bridge. She shook her head again. She knew she didn't have the nerve to do it, so why should she even think it?
She stopped suddenly, her train of thought snapping as something took hold of her mind. It was a simple, quaint-looking establishment with a sign reading "Spells 'R' Us." Maya giggled and walked toward the door, pushing it open, noting the soft chimes that rang through the establishment as she did. She then walked in and closed the door, looking around the store. An impressive assortment of trinkets lined the aisles, some looking rather mundane, while others carrying an exotic feel to them.
"Hello, Ms. Ibuki..."
Maya blinked at the voice behind her and spun around, seeing a friendly-looking old man in a strange cap, smiling warmly as he looked down at her. "You weren't there just a second ago..."
Maya muttered softly. She then cleared her throat and bowed politely, blushing softly as she did. "S-sorry! Hello, sir..."
The Wizard smiled softly and gave her a deep bow, taking off his cap as he did. He then rose again and put his cap back on, balancing the cone-shaped headgear carefully before speaking again. "Is there anything I can help you with?"
