When she activated her Talent, the snake came alive, extending out from her skin as a spectral creature whose eyes glowed like backlit emeralds.
Nurse Midori Kurohebi used Tricorder (what she'd decided to name her snake familiar) to diagnose patients as the snake could see all sorts of ailments and problems that even modern scanning equipment had trouble finding.
While she didn't care for looking as if she had a tattoo, or the feel of the pebbly skin along that 'tattoo' - she DID enjoy the higher pay and increased usefulness that her Talent brought her.
That Talent told her that Ranma would survive, that he was able to get past the Plague with only minor treatment at this point, and that he'd be a powerful Ace.
What power, that she couldn't tell. Just that it was the strongest she'd seen yet.
Considering that Doctor Mizuno worked at the hospital, and that the doctor had an Ace Talent (rated A-4) as a Telempath was something to raise a few eyebrows. That the same Doctor Mizuno was also rated a A-5 Water Element Mage was also well documented.
Nodoka Saotome (C-3 Metal Element Mage) hitting it off with Doctor Mizuno as Ranma sweated through the effects of the Plague was noted by a few people. Genma Saotome surviving the Plague and having the Ace Talent of Expansion Jutsu (B-1 Magic, ability to expand all or part of his body) was also well noted.
That little Ami Mizuno showed up regularly at Ranma's bedside was also well noted and remarked on. That she gained a stepbrother as Ranma recovered was of little surprise as the authorities had already given a green light to such things.
